It’s time once again for another Clear It Out Challenge. This weeks challenge is to create a card based on something that inspires you (photo, person, colour palette, etc) and to include something glittery. I made my card based on a photo and I gave it to my niece for her birthday on the weekend. I used glitter and diamond glaze on the balloon to make it pop (no pun intended, lol). One of my favourite parts of this card is the monkey (created by Bugaboo Stamps) that moves up and down and tips from side to side. I embossed the strip in the middle with my cuttlebug and sponged some Tim Holtz Distress ink on the top to help the embossing stand out. I wrapped it up (pun intended haha) with some leather string. Take a look…
The inspiration is based on this photo which shows the fabulous fall colors that I love. It’s my favourite season of the year, too.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps. And because they are so awesome they are giving one lucky winner…
Woot! Woot! I just love Bugaboo Stamps :)
So check out the Clear It Out Challenge Blog, show us your project, add something glittery and don't forget to post a picture of your inspiration :)
This makes card #34 in the 100-in-100 challenge.
Really cute card, I know a few little monkeys who would love it :-) Love your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. Isn't he just the cutest little monkey. Come back again soon.
DeleteSo cute! Love that image and the colors and textures just rock!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments, Carol.
DeleteI just love that monkey!! Isn't glitter fun!
ReplyDeleteYes, glitter is loads of fun .. if only I wasn't so stinkin' messy with it. Thanks for stopping by and becoming a follower. Come back again soon.
DeleteThese colors are very inspiring and what a cute birthday card!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Liz. I just love fall (not that I'm trying to push summer along or anything, lol).
DeleteCute, cute, cute card, Sharon! Love all the interaction with the monkey for your niece to play with. She'll love it!
ReplyDeleteYou were asking about the "washed-out" colors in my card. (No worries.......I didn't take it the "wrong way" LOL) I used very light Copic markers. On the "Love" word I used RV000 (if you're familiar with Copics) which is a super light shade. Just have to use a really 'light' touch when coloring to achieve that "washed-out" look. LOL
Thanks a bunch for your visit.
Happy Huggies ~

Monkey was colored with copics. I've only been using copics since the end of April so I'm still learning. Thanks for the tip. I have a birthday coming up next month so I think I'm going to ask for some more copics and make sure they get the light ones so I can try this out. Thanks again.
DeleteOooooo more Copics to play with. Awesome gift suggestion. Have fun coloring! :)
DeleteGreat interaction card. Love the colors and that monkey is to cute.
